Laura's passions for opera, improvisation, and the Alexander Technique are all connected by her love of the creative process and our boundless potential. She brings the same enthusiasm and humor to her teaching as she does to the stage.
Be curious, be free, be whole.
Laura is performing as a dancer, actor, and singer in this genre-defying musical, A Tap of the Creature's Curse. This show premiered last year with a different cast to huge success and Laura is very excited to step into one of the leading roles. It’s silly, it’s fun, and the dancing is exquisite. Show dates are November 8 (3:30 and 7:30 pm) and November 9 (3:30 pm). Tickets and more information available here: https://tapwithhoward.com/curse-tickets
Laura returns to Santa Monica High School on 10/13 to present the Alexander Technique to orchestra students and their families. This is Laura’s second year bringing AT to SaMoHi and is thrilled to continue connecting with this community.
Laura will give an Alexander Technique class on October 11 for Orange County Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

All are welcome, those who seek embodied freedom. This includes all races, colors, religions, sexes, gender identities or expressions, sexual orientations, national origins, genetics, body types, abilities (visible and invisible), ages, immigrant statuses, and economic statuses.
Mistakes will inevitably be made because I am human. However, I am committed to the work: the ongoing process of being called in, uncovering layers, deepening understanding, and enacting positive change. I commit to promoting equity and reducing and repairing harm when it happens.
I acknowledge, denounce, and reject all racist and sexist ideas, both expressed and implied, in F.M. Alexander’s writings (1869-1955). While the past cannot be changed, we can inhabit the present application of Alexander’s discoveries with openness, humility, and conscious awareness.
